Christelle and Arnold at Oude Drift

The pictures says it all. One of the more fun weddings I had in a while. Christelle and Arrie are a fun loving couple and not at all what you would expect from an engineer and an accountant. There is nothing straight and narrow about these two... Christelle showed off her quirky side with black board notes that was used in the photo shoot - black boards that hubby Arrie made on her instructions off course. The end result was amazing. Thanks for using me as your photographer to record the happy occassion for you and for putting the fun back into photography for me.

Natasha and Michael at Grootbosch

When I think about the Da Silva's big day, I can't help but hear Alanis Morisette's singing in my head:

"It's like rain on your wedding day. It's a free ride when you've already paid. It's the good advice that you just didn't take. Who would've thought... it figures''

Yes, the first thunder storm of the rainy season hit North West on the wedding day but alls well ends well. The bride was breathtakingly beautiful and even though we only had 10 minutes give or take to take pics of the happy married couple before the rain came pouring down we made the most of it.

"Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you when you think everything's okay and everything's going right and life has a funny way of helping you out when you think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up in your face''

They say rain on your wedding day spells good luck. So just when you think everything has gone wrong - Michael and Natasha, may you be showered with good luck, love and joy through all your married life... just like on your wedding day.

Leoné and Renier at Clementia

What a beautiful wedding... like a fairytale with a bit of Scottish charm. It was such an honour to take the wedding pictures of a couple I've known since childhood. And did they make a stunning couple? I guess the pics speak for themselves. From the beautifully designed wedding gown, to the quaint chapel and Scottish bag pipe band (I get goosebumps just thinking about it) everything was perfect. Leoné and Renier, my wish for you is years filled with happiness and love.

Melissa and Steven at The Key

A beautiful bride and a loving bridegroom. What more can a wedding photographer ask for? Thank you for allowing me to share in your beautiful day. Eventhough the bride was fashionably late, it was one of the more relaxed weddings I've covered and with a beautiful venue, the pics really says it all. May you share many more happy moments together.

Dané and Solé part II

I think these pics speak for themselves.....

Dane and Solé at Everwood

What can I say about this wedding? When I think about this couple only one thing comes to mind... LOVE. It was amazing working the newly weds during the shoot after the ceremony. I told them that if a wedding still brings tears to my eyes like theirs did, I'm still a long way from quitting wedding photography. Thank you Dane and Solé for letting me realise why I started photographing weddings. After a very quiet winter and a good rest, my first wedding for the season re-confirmed my believe "in that special day''.

Martie and Desmond (part II)

Sorry - another one of the pics I wanted to publish. (Wasn't concentrating and published one twice.)

Martie and Desmond in Klerksdorp

What a lovely couple, one can see they are not only in love, but best friends as well. With the nerves before the wedding ceremony almost getting the better of the bride (thank goodness for the port at the guest house) and making her a few (appropriate) minutes late - this was a real "boere troue''. And Martie and Desmond enjoyed every minute. Thanks for making me part of your special day. Congratulations.
