Elmie & Piet at St Andrews
Lovely wedding - except that the first rain of the season almost spoiled the fun. But the bride and groom only had eyes for each other and couldn't be bothered by very dark skies, huge raindrops and strong winds. And isn't that how life should be? You know it can be stormy sometimes but with love you can concour everything.

Bianca and Luan at Vaal de Soileh
A wedding with a fisherman's theme is not something you hear about everyday. But this is how Bianca included her groom in the whole wedding setup. Luan loves the great outdoors and fishing is his passion (besides Bianca off course). Bianca searched for the perfect wedding venue on the banks of the Vaal River and she found it at Vaal de Soileh in Parys, Free State. The chapel is practically on the river and one of the most romantic settings for a wedding I've ever photographed. The angling theme was not overwhelming - just enough to make it still a classy event. But the wedding cake was the cherry on top....

Delia and Hugh at Thaba Tshwene Game Lodge
These boots are made for walking... Delia's gumboots were a hit at her wedding. It provided a bit of a creative edge when we did their wedding photo shoot and with the lovely surrounds of the amphitheatre at Thaba Tshwene the result was stunning. (Even though it was one of the hottest days in February). The wedding was classy in black and white with crystal chandeliers and orchids and all the guests (with the exception of a few) were also dressed in black and white. Hugh and Delia, I wish you years of happiness together - you were a lovely couple to photograph. And Delia... keep the boots.
Quinton and Sonica at Thaba Tshwene Game Lodge
A cowboy wedding right out of a country and western movie. From traditional "blikbekers'' to cowboy hats and boots were part of the decor at this relaxed country wedding. Even though the bride was a bit more than "fashionably late'' for the wedding ceremony and the fact that it was an indoor affair rather than the planned outdoors ceremony - Quinton and Sonica is happy that their big day will be remembered by all as the party of the year. Your blikbeker still has an honorary spot among my wedding momento's... Congrats!
