Anneke and Pietman at Clementia

Confetti is Italian for sweets which in Italy are thrown over the couple as they emerge from the church in the same way we use paper confetti... or rather rose petals these days. (I think the parents of these little bridesmaids are glad sweets are not the custom in South Africa - I don't think the little ones needed more energy...) Together with the bridal couple, the girls made beautiful pics on an overcast Saturday on the banks of the Vaal River. Confetti (I've been to weddings where they used popcorn as confetti) is used to bestow prosperity and fertility on the couple - exactly my wish for Anneke and Pietman.
